If you like to see the eastern culture and historical place, you will definitely prefer to go to China. China is full of historical places like The Great Wall of China which is a true symbol Chinese architecture was built in thousands years ago. It is probably the most visited place in China.

As you know Great Wall is pretty long and you need ample time to visit it as whole. You can visit some sections of it as visiting of some part is not allowed by the Chinese Government. So, it is highly recommended that you point out the main locations that must be seen.

Now, let’s see which sections are allowed by the government, the closest section is Juyongguan which is on two hours away from the Beijing. The other closest sections are Shuiguan, Badaling, and Mutianyu. You will see most tourists in Badaling and Mutianyu. So, it is strongly recommended that you at least visit these 2 sections as they have proper service and facilities over the site.

Badaling section is 3,740 meters long and is as wide that five horses can easily run over it. You can also visit the Great Wall museum and Great Wall theatre as well. It was the first section which was opened for the tourists.

Mutianyu is the other section that is visited by most of the visitors. It is located 70 K.M away from Beijing. Here, you will see lesser crowd as compared with Badaling. You can visit the section by hiking, chair lift, cable car. You can reach there by hiring a cab or bus service.

Juyongguan is another important section; it is 50 K.M away from Beijing. This part of Wall had great strategic importance as there were military installations and residences. You can approach the area by taking bus or railway station.

Visiting Historical Forbidden City

The Forbidden City is the central place in Beijing and is made up of ancient wonders, the building of the past. These buildings comprised the Imperial Palace and were the abode of Ming and Qing Dynasties, ruling China in the ancient times. Keeping this fact in mind the Forbidden City is also called the Imperial Palace. The Forbidden City also houses the Museum.

Forbidden City is comprised of 800 Wonderful building having more than eight thousand rooms, thus has become the largest palace among the palaces all over the world scattered over an area of 700,000 square miles.

The entrance can be accessed through Tiananmen Gate, which is the exclusively used for entrance, even in spite of the fact that it is not real part of Forbidden City.

Once one enters the Meridian Gate, one reaches the palace’s courtyard complex. When one moves through the court yard complex, one comes across wonderfully crafted bridges and splendid gardens on the way.
